Health Profile of England 2009

The Health Profile of England (HpoE) provides national and regional data, which local areas can compare against their own Health Profiles. There is a section of international comparisons. The HPoE is intended for public service professionals and officials within the local community. It outlines the areas which have shown recent improvements as well as areas where challenges remain. Health Inequalities (HINST) Enhanced Support Programme resource manual

The HINST has published a resource manual containing a range of information, resources and tools, including a series of 'How to guides' and 'Masterclass reports'. It has been built around good practice identified from the visits undertaken so far, that are expected to make an impact on mortality in a short timescale if delivered at a sufficient scale. Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease at a Population Level

NICE published guidance in June 2010 to address the prevention of cardiovascular disease (CVD) at the population level. The guidance comprises two sets of recommendations aimed at national policy makers and local practitioners respectively. The guidance complements, but does not replace, NICE guidance on: smoking cessation and prevention and tobacco control, physical activity, obesity, hypertension and maternal and child nutrition
