Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Conference 2019: Saving Hearts and Minds Together

Public Health England is looking forward to welcoming over 500 people to the over-subscribed Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) prevention conference this year. The focus will be on how to deliver commitments detailed in the NHS Long Term Plan to prevent 150,000 heart attacks, strokes and dementia cases over the next 10 years.

If you are attending, here are some top tips to make the most of your time:

  • take a look at the 60 poster presentations on display and make sure you vote for the best one;
  • visit the new digital space in the market place where you can see how digital can shape the future of CVD prevention, and take part in activities on the interactive whiteboard; and
  • get your blood pressure, pulse and cholesterol checked - and use them to find out your Heart Age

If you are not attending, you can still get involved by joining PHE via twitter throughout the day or the Facebook live discussion at 3pm on the 14th of February. PHE will also be hosting a Health Matters from 1.15pm till 2pm on Wednesday 27 February please register here. After the conference resources from the day will be posted on the NHS Health Check website.
